The title of a recently released Yahoo! article is “Obama (and) House GOP plan rival public campaigns on (the) ‘fiscal cliff’” (Web-site/URL: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/obama-house-gop-plan-rival-public-campaigns-fiscal-164336812–politics.html).
“In a speech on the Senate floor, McConnell cast the White House efforts as little more than A PUBLIC RELATIONS GAMBIT“. “RATHER THAN sitting down with lawmakers of both parties and working out an agreement, he’s BACK OUT ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL, presumably with THE SAME OLD talking points we’re all familiar with. Look: We already know (that) the president is a very good campaigner. What we DON’T know is whether he has THE LEADERSHIP QUALITIES necessary to lead his party to a bipartisan agreement on a BIG issue like this“. MCCONNELL DOESN’T complain when HE’S “out on the campaign trail”, but is lashing out at the President.
Finally, Boehner’s spokesman Brendan Buck finished off: “Republicans UNDERSTAND (?) that we MUST avert the fiscal cliff and HAVE LAID OUT A FRAMEWORK TO DO SO (?) that is consistent with the ‘BALANCED‘ approach (that) the president says he wants“. What is this “framework?” “Buck ACCUSED some Democrats of ruling out “SENSIBLE (?) spending cuts,” notably overhauls of popular entitlement programs such as Medicare, the GOVERNMENT health care plan for seniors and Medicaid, a state-FEDERAL program that provides health care to low-income Americans”. Once again the GOP is lashing out at and going after anything that is run by “the government” or “federal” authorities. This is also the latest example of POLITICIANS “Blaming & Criticizing” each other (Web-site/URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-AJviZ8Itk).
So overall this is just the latest case of “We think they made us mad; they think we made them mad and here we go” (Web-site/URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI).
