The title of an ABC News article released on October 25, 2012 is “Malala Yousufzai Is SPEAKING, SHOWS NO SIGN OF BRAIN DAMAGE” (Web-site/URL: That’s certainly GREAT news.

According to Pakistan’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Wajid Shamsul Hasan, “She is making DRAMATIC progress (given that she was SHOT IN THE HEAD) and we are VERY PLEASED at how she’s doing” obviously.

“Before Yousufzai’s parents left Pakistan, her father, Ziauddin, vowed that HE WOULD RETURN to his country with his daughterDESPITE Taliban promises to keep targeting the girl who has become A GLOBAL  ICON OF COURAGEsomething which, let’s face it, is in short supply these days. In a statement to Pakistani STATE Television,  Ziauddin Yousufzai said:  “We will be back in Pakistan AS SOON AS Malala recovers, because Swat IS MY HOME and I cannot think of leaving there“, EVEN IF MORE ATTEMPTS ARE MADE TO KILL MALALA? Also, once again, we have to note “STATE Television” is UNreliable, especially with THE TALIBAN and AL-QAEDA still in control of much of Pakistan.  In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, he called his daughter’s recovery “MIRACULOUS“. Certainly CAN’T argue/disagree with that. “I have seen DOOMSDAY and survived, you might say. Malala has been honored by the nation, by the world, (and) by people of ALL classes of ALL creeds of ALLcolors. I am grateful for that. But (above all)I AM A FATHER. I respect all those feelings, but THE ONLY priority now is the life of my daughter and her TOTAL rehabilitation” obviously. “I DON’T need ANY awards. … I need MY DAUGHTERWellMr. YousufzaiYOU WILL SURELY BE HONORED WITH MANY “awards” in the NOT-so-distant future.

Finally, “Standing next to Ziauddin Yousufzai in Islamabad, Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik noted that Malala had asked her father to bring TEXTBOOKS with him“. According to Pakistani television, “The mission she has taken forward and the education awareness that has spread across Pakistan is ALL Malala’s doingSo I think that our entire nation should be proud of her love for the soil of her country“. HeckTHE WHOLE WORLD “should be (EXTREMELY) proud of” Malala Yousufzai for standing up for women’s rights to go to school, work and demand things from their husbands/boyfriends

Again the struggle of this brave young FEMALE activist flies in the face of those traditional CHINESE women who argue that WOMEN SHOULD DO NOTHINGThere is also STILL a long way to go for women’s equality in the Middle East because if we just look at this case, “At her house in Mingora, she lived with her two younger brothers, her PARENTS and two pet chickens”, but only her FATHERZiauddin Yousafzai is listed as a relative (Web-site/URL: Having said that, however, we are just OVERJOYED that Malala is on the road to recovery. As ABC‘s Nick Schifrin told us, “Today (October 19, 2012), the girl who stood up to the Taliban is fighting again and doctors are hopeful she’s going to WIN” and “her supporters are saying SHE WILL get better, SHE WILL go home and…(most importantly), she will GO BACK TO SCHOOL  (Web-site/URL: Wellfrom the evidence presented in this reportMalala HAS ALREADY “won” and we are absolutely determined that “She will GO BACK TO SCHOOL.
