The title of a Fox News article released on August 16, 2012 is “Carney affirms Obama-BIDEN (?) ticket, knocks McCain-PALIN (?) criticism” (Web-site/URL: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/08/16/carney-affirms-obama-biden-ticket-knocks-mccain-criticism/).
“White House Press Secretary Jay Carney affirmed Thursday (August 16, 2012) that Vice President Biden WILL STAY ON the Democrats’ 2012 ticket, and in doing so took a shot at President Obama’s former 2008 rivals”.
“After Sarah Palin and THEN (?) Sen. John McCain said BUMPING Biden from the ticket might be a good idea following A RECENT HIGH-PROFILE GAFFE, Carney knocked the suggestion at Thursday’s briefing (August 16, 2012)”. “While I APPRECIATE, I have GREAT ADMIRATION FOR and RESPECT FOR and A LONG RELATIONSHIP WITH Senator John McCain, but ONE PLACE I WOULD NOT GO for advice on VICE PRESIDENTIAL RUNNING MATES is to Senator McCain” obviously. In fact, Sarah Palin was the reason Sen. McCain LOST in 2008. Also,Sen. McCain IS STILL A SENATOR NOW having been re-elected most recently in 2010 (Web-site/URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_history_of_John_McCain). How can Fox News describe McCain as ” THEN Sen?” THAT’S A JOKE because this would imply that Fox News, which claims to be and many respects, is FIERCELYRepublican/conservative, doesn’t have enough knowledge about one of its own.
“Carney, asked whether the Obama-Biden ticket will stand, said “YES — and THAT WAS SETTLED A LONG TIME AGO“. WAS IT?
“Biden is under fire for saying in Virginia, before a racially diverse audience, that Republicans wanting to deregulate the financial industry are “going to PUT Y’ALL BACK IN CHAINS“. SLAVES, of course, were “in chains”, VIRGINIA was a SLAVE state and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren of slaves still live there so obviously, this is such a sensitive/highly controversial/touchy/”hot button” issue/topic.
“Paul Ryan (MITT ROMNEY‘s running mate) called the comment the mark of a “DESPERATE” campaign”. Both campaigns will argue that the other campaign is “desperate”, making this the latest case of “We think they made us mad; they think we make them mad and here we go” (Web-site/URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgnAY_eXYbI).
Finally, Carney finished off: “The fact of the matter is that the vice president was talking about a POLICY issue which there is an attempt to turn into, you know, an UNSUBSTANTIAL campaign issue that’s DIVORCED FROM policy“. Again, we have to ensure, as far as possible, that our arguments are RELEVANT/RELATED TO the topic which might lead us to getting caught up in something TOTALLY IRRELEVANT and we know how problematic that is.
