SYRIAN Clashes Spill Over into TRIPOLI, LEBANON: Al-Jazeera

The title of an Al-Jazeera article released on June 3, 2012 is “Lebanon sends troops to quell deadly clashes” (Web-site/URL:

“Extra forces deployed to (the) port city of Tripoli after Syria-linked sectarian clashes claim at least 12 lives”.

Al Jazeera‘s Zeina Khodr, reporting from Tripoli, said an “UNEASY calm” had set in after the fighting”. EVERYONE/ALL ACTIVISTS in Syria and neighboring countries (e.g. Lebanon, TURKEY, etc.) are and SHOULD JUSTIFIABLY BE “uneasy”. “The Lebanese army has been deployed, but if you talk to anyone (in/on the streets), they will say (that) THIS IS JUST A TEMPORARY TRUCE“. FOR THE GRACE OF GOD, how many more innocent people have to die before a “truce” can be PERMANENT? “The clashes REALLY HAVE BECOME MORE AND MORE FREQUENT over the last few months. This conflict REALLY IS FAR FROM OVER. NOT GOOD. “Over recent months, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WARNING that the crisis in Syria WAS GOING TO SPILL OVER into the country (i.e. Lebanon). IT ACTUALLY HAS SPILLED OVER and IT’S BECOMING A DANGEROUS REALITY. THE WORLD IS ALREADY “dangerous” enough.

Finally, “Najib Mikati, the Lebanese prime minister, and other Tripoli politicians instructed security forces on Saturday (June 2, 2012) to use an “IRON FIST” to quell the worst violence to shake Tripoli since the start of an uprising against Assad in neighbouring Syria”“iron fist” is another/the latest example of the “force and pain technique” (Web-site/URL: It’s also obviousMikati is AN ASSAD CRONY/LOYALIST. Many Assad loyalists/cronies have infiltrated Lebanon, a supposedly “parliamentary democracy”, or DEMOCRATIC country (Web-site/URL:
